From early crayon scribbles to classic hot rods, from towering Vegas billboards to worldwide stage backdrops, these are the experiences that shaped who I am today and built the deep sense of responsibility behind Melted Crayons Mission. The spark that set the direction came the moment I saw a child standing in the ashes of his home, caught in the Eaton Fire, quietly telling a news camera, “It’s all lost its color.” That moment made it clear: it was time to shift my passion and experience toward giving color back to kids recovering from fires that had taken their sense of safety, their possessions, and the things they loved.
My love of building and creating is still as strong as ever. I’ve been riding waves of color and craft since I could hold a crayon, and I still have some of my earliest toddler-age art, including a teenage drawing of a monkey painting a billboard. That spirit now fuels everything from this mission’s arts and humanities outreach to MCM’s hot rod van named GoCraYz, a project underway designed to bring smiles, excitement, and creative inspiration to the kids we meet. For me, it’s about making a difference where it matters, helping raise fire awareness, and having fun doing what I love.
